Group photoThe day started with the drizzles as a the doors where open to 8 organizations that swung into Information Access Centre at the Ministry of ICT Headquarters. Clouded with a packed agenda for the day, Joshua Akandanwaho opened up the training workshop with the Opening Remarks from National Information Technology Authority – Uganda (NITA-U). And immediately Charles Wanume from Digital Natives dived into the days session with Open Data Kit (ODK).

 

Hands-on

The participants presented were taken from Beginner to moderate level. The ODK session entailed was mainly embedded with creation of data collections form using the online version of ODK, followed by the use of XLSForms being designed in Microsoft Excel. The data was exported to ODK aggregate and other forms for interpretation.

 

 

 

In the afternoon session, Daniel the the participants presented were taken through the use of fusion tables to visualise Data collected using ODK. Then further were introduced to Google Earth and the GE Graph for creating Graphs in Google Earth.

 

At the end of the Day the participants were granted Certificates of Attendance of the one workshop.
At the end of the day every participant walked a way with a certificate of participation.
